❓FAQs
Have questions about using AltDEX? Here are some quick answers to help you swap confidently and safely.
Access & Fees
Do I need $CTRL to use AltDEX?
No. AltDEX is open to everyone. However, holding 5,000 or more $CTRL waives the 1% trading fee automatically.
How is the 1% fee collected?
The fee is taken from the sell token amount and only applies if you're not holding enough $CTRL. No extra transaction is required.
Are there any limits on trades?
AltDEX does not enforce hard limits, but extreme amounts may be subject to liquidity availability or slippage constraints depending on the tokens.
Token Safety & Lists
How do I know if a token is safe to trade?
Use AltCTRL’s SaFu Token Lists. These lists are curated by the team for each supported network. Tokens not on these lists trigger a warning modal with a risk disclosure.
What makes a token SaFu?
Tokens in the SaFu List are vetted for:
Verified contracts
Transparent ownership
Reasonable tokenomics
Community presence
These lists are chain-specific and curated by AltCTRL.
Can I still trade a token that isn’t on a SaFu list?
Yes, but you must manually import the token and acknowledge the risks. You’ll see a warning modal before importing. DYOR is strongly recommended.
Can I trust custom token imports?
Always verify the contract address before importing. For added security, scan new tokens using isSaFuBot before trading.
Token Management
Can I import any token?
Yes, as long as you know the contract address. Once imported, tokens appear in the Tokens tab of Manage Tokens modal and can be removed at any time.
Why is my token not showing?
It may not be in a default list. You can:
Import it manually via contract address
Enable additional token lists in the Manage Tokens modal
Check that you’re on the correct network
Wallet Features
Can I send tokens to a different address?
Yes. AltDEX allows you to set a recipient address during the swap, different from your connected wallet. This is great for gifting, airdrops, or secure storage.
Technical Infrastructure
What is LI.FI and how does it power AltDEX?
AltDEX uses LI.FI’s routing engine to aggregate liquidity and optimize same-chain swaps. It determines the best price and routing path using DEX data from across the ecosystem.
What chains does AltDEX support?
AltDEX currently supports:
Ethereum
Base
BSC
More networks may be added in future updates.
Does AltDEX support cross-chain swaps?
Not yet. AltDEX currently handles same-chain swaps only. Cross-chain functionality is planned for a future release.
